DUTCH SILVER & COBALT OPEN SALT CELLAR DISH DIP
Silver on Copper very interesting and unusual Cobalt Glass Open Salt Cellar. This piece is marked with what appears to look like "A.M." in a Diamond and "M.I.I." in a diamond along with mark that I can not read. Appears to be dutch in origin and I would date it to late 19TH or Early 20TH Century This silver boat shaped salt stands on four legs. It has a Cathedral Arch openwork pattern around the sides. It has an ill Fitting cobalt glass liner that works but is apparently not original. This very interesting and unusual salt is 2 1/4" Tall and 3 7/8" Long. Condition is Average. There are a few small edge chips to the liner that could probably be polished out. There is some wear to the plate but no breaks, scratches or bends.
