Ancient, rare Korean stoneware lidded jar that was made during the Three Kingdoms period, 57 BC - AD 668, (between the 5th and 6th century AD), by residents of the Silla Kingdom in the south-east of Korea. A set of three highly carved gilt wood scenes mounted on original wood panels. Each of the panels has been painted with the typical ironstone-red ground beneath a gold paint overlay. Japanese Banko ware vase in brown tapestry with applied decorations of flying cranes and white chrysanthemum flowers in low relief. There are also multi colored enamel and gilt stems, leaves and small flowers applied in relief. A ring of white dots is applied around the lower section of the body.

Exceptionally fine tall Japanese porcelain vase with a flaring rim and fluted edge. It has a blue ground with a combination of applied lacquer and underglaze enamel designs. The first of the four reserves is decorated with a scene of Japanese sail boats in the midst of other designs, including mountains, trees, flowers and a fish net. Antique Thai bronze standing Buddha, in “U” Thong style, beautifully decorated with inset semi-precious stones. Antique bronze Thai Buddha in style of Dvaravati. The figure is seated on a double lotus base with hands held out at the waist in the “teaching Buddha” position. The hair shows hand workmanship rather than being just cast as part of the bronze figure and is tightly curled around his head. The Buddha also features elongated earlobes and downcast eyes, typical of early castings. Sukhothai circular shaped covered bowl with a coarse grey-brown, speckled, stoneware body, on a curved foot with a sunken base. It has a faded brown band around the base, the sides rising up to the upper bowl and matching lid.
