Ivory “Oliphant” decorative horn, carved from an elephant tusk, with four recessed bands, and outer applications of gilt braised metal ormolu of finely designed flowers, maple leaves and scrolling vines with a flower button. Japanese bronze/champleve vase, decorated with two bands of enamel in rust-red, light blue, turquoise, cobalt, green and white design of dragon. There is an old four character mark on the bottom. Size is 12-1/2" high by 8" diameter, and weighs 4.8 lbs. Condition is very good, with no damage or repairs. Age is circa l900, late Meiji.
