This offering is for a vintage Chinese octagonal bulb dish with four sides decorated with various scenes of ladies in a garden, and four sides with Chinese characters. The outer edge if the rim has a rust-red floral design. The base has four raised feet with Chinese characters in a rust-red oval border. There is some uneven glaze around the top, unglazed feet and eight pin holes on the bottom from the firing kiln. Chinese Rose Canton shallow bowl with bright enamel rim of flowers and fruits surrounding two ladies in the center with butterflies, scroll, drum and box designs. Also there are small Chinese characters in black ink on the front of the bowl. The back of the bowl has an inverted foot and pin marks. The bowl measures 8-3/4”Diameter, 14.5 oz. and is in excellent condition. Age is c. early 1800’s.
