Japanese square shaped Imari platter with scalloped edges and a square center area with a light blue border, featuring two pheasants near a three-legged dark blue table with a floral arrangement. The border of the plate has two sets of four reserves. All the designs are under glaze except for the pheasants and small dots of flowers which are over glaze enamel. Japanese Imari low bowl with under glaze cobalt blue scenes of mountains, villages and trees accented by rust-red bamboo and gilt overlay. The bowl has a curved in edge with deep cobalt blue ground, and light blue flowers and leaves with a rust-red center. The foot has slight residue of sand with a blue two-character mark. Japanese Imari oval ribbed porcelain plate with scalloped edge. The beautifully decorated plate features an orange/red phoenix (ho bird) with gilt highlights on one side and a scroll design with a rolled cobalt edge and containing a table and basket of flowers on the other side. The additional patterns include a green/red plaid and a swirl design of orange-red and cobalt. Condition: Excellent with no breaks, cracks or repairs. Size/Weight: 12-1/2” x 9-3/4”; 2.2 lbs. Japanese Imari style porcelain figure of a seated Bijin (beautiful woman) holding a book in her left hand displaying kanji characters on the open pages. The seated Bijin is decorated with a blue finely detailed floral robe in multi colors, and an elegant obi with pink with green bamboo designs. The figure measures 8” H x 6-1/2” W x 4-1/2” D, 2 lb. Age is late Meiji period, c. 1900. The condition is excellent.
