Ancient, rare Korean stoneware lidded jar that was made during the Three Kingdoms period, 57 BC - AD 668, (between the 5th and 6th century AD), by residents of the Silla Kingdom in the south-east of Korea. This type of high-fired stoneware is typical of that period. The outer and inner surfaces are coated with a thin ash glaze, some of which is still visible in several places.
