This offering is for a vintage Japanese “950” Sterling two-piece set of a Silver-mixed metal Compact and matching Lipstick Case in the original box w/folding lid. The compact is octagonal (8-sided) with the front decorated with an etched design of an Ikebana basket and flowers, and the back decorated with an etched design of flowers, and the signature of the artist/maker. This listing is for a Mexico silver box decorated with shiny abalone inlay on a beautiful box with a hinged, curved top. The abalone is inlaid on all four sides as well as the top. The interior has a dark wood liner in the bottom. The underside of the box is stamped “Alpaca Mexico”. The box measures 4-1/4” H x 1-3/4” W x 1” D; and weight is 6 oz. Age is pre-1980. Excellent condition.
