| This offering is for two Hakata Urasaki Doll figures. The first is of a Calligrapher shown seated at a table holding an ink brush above a document with a kanji character. The sculpture has finely detailed facial features, with a furrowed brow, bald head and full beard. It measures 5-1/2”H x 4-1/2’W x 4”D, and weighs 14 oz. Condition is very good with a miniscule chip of paint missing from a corner of desk. Age is mid 20th century. The second figure is of a Seated Fisherman net Maker shown holding a rope and woven casting net in both hands and between his toes on the right foot. There are finely detailed facial features on this Hakata figure, and a blue head band tied around his bald head. It measures 5-1/2”H x 4-1/4”W x 4”D, and weighs 14 oz. Condition is excellent with no cracks or missing pieces. Age is mid 20th century. | |||||||||||||
