| This listing is for a miniature Japanese bronze mythological animal sculpture (possibly from the cat family). The head of the unusual beast is large and finely detailed, with a curled mane, long tail and a deep part down the center of the back. Especially noteworthy are the artistically designed brow, eyes, nose, mouth and toes of the beast. The small bronze measures 3/4” H x 2-1/4” W x 1-1/4” D, and weighs 5 oz. The bronze is in excellent condition, with some normal wear to the patina on the bottom. Age is mid-20th century. | |||||||||||||
