| Vintage Japanese blue ad white transfer ware (inbante method) porcelain plate with a piecrust edge. Transfer ware was one of the techniques that was first introduced in Japan after the end of the Edo period of isolation. The plate has an underglaze blue design with two alternating designs around the center. The back of the plate is decorated with three underglaze blue designs and three circles around the edge. There is an impressed mark and a spur mark on the bottom. The size is: 13" diameter, and the weight is 3-1/8 lbs. Condition is excellent. | ||||||||||||||
