| High quality companion pair of Japanese cloisonné vases. The vases are made of silver wire on a copper body, with an interior & bottom of dark green enamel. The exterior enamel of each vase is predominantly colored in shades of brown. A band around the top of each vase has two (2) reserves of love birds followed by two (2) sets of an alternating shield pattern of the classical dragon & flaming pearl & Phoenix. The phoenix has rust-red goldstone ground & the dragon has a green goldstone ground. Marks: Signed Ando Jubei. Size/Weight: 9.5” high by 3.5” diameter; weight is 6 lbs for both. Condition: Overall excellent condition, with only barely perceptible crazing on one vase. Age is circa 1920. | ||||||||||||
