Intricately Carved Panel In Wooden Frame

Size:The panel is 19 3/4" wide and 23" long. In the frame the piece measures 23" by 26" by 3/4" wide.

Description:This is an intricately carved wooden panel from an interior use, possibly a bed. The scene in the interior of the circle depicts a seated wise man receiving an invitation box from a courier. He sits among flowers, with a table, carved screens and his roof-top seen in the background. Around the circle are dragons in the four corners. The panel is framed in a matching wood frame, newly made for it, with an Asian-style hanger.
