| Subject to prior sale. Beautiful Tang Dynasty Tomb Pottery Horse With Oxford TL Certificate Period: Tang Dynasty 618 to 907, China. Size: This wonderful statue is approximately 27.95" tall. Condition: The statue is in beautiful condition with good original pigment still remaining. Color fading, abrasions, small chips and/or minor deterioration with possible areas of expert restoration is not unusual in burial pieces of this age. Description: This horse sculpture has an Oxford TL (Thermo Luminesence) Certificate from Oxford Authentication in England. This is a very large statue being almost 30" tall.The horse is beautifully sculpted with a fine, narrow face and strong chest. The horse is very detailed for its age. The horse has a very distinct look on his face. The horses mane is very detailed with lines that represent strands of hair. The horse still has a great deal of red pigment still remaining.
