Excellent Song Dynasty Glazed Jar

Period: Song Dynasty, China,960 to 1279.

Size: This jar is approximately 11" tall.

Condition: Good, color fading, abrasions, small chips and/or minor deterioration with possible areas of expert restoration is not unusual in burial pieces of this age.

Description: This is a very beautiful jar from the Song Dynasty. It is covered in a pale green glaze or Yingqing ( qingbai glaze). It is beautifully decorated around the neck of the jar with human effigy and birds.
