Beautiful Yuan Dynasty Green Glazed Jar

Period: Yuan Dynasty, China, AD 1279-1368.

Size: This beautiful jar is approximately 15" tall.

Condition: Good overall, no visible repairs, some chips on the body and lid, color fading, abrasions, small chips and/or minor deterioration with possible areas of expert restoration is not unusual in burial pieces of this age.

Description: This beautiful jar is decorated with high relief of human figures and zodiac animals. There is a small knob on he top of the lid. Please refer to close up images. These type of jars are found in Yunnan Province, Southwestern part of China. We had another Yuan jar similar to this one thermoluminescence tested dating the manufacturing date to between 500-800 years ago.
