Period: Tang Dynasty, China, 618 to 907.

Size: This horse is approximately 14" in height and 10" wide.

Condition: Excellent, color fading, abrasions, small chips and/or minor deterioration with possible areas of expert restoration is not unusual in burial pieces of this age.

Description: This is an excellent Tang Dynasty tomb pottery horse and rider. The horse and rider are beautifully sculpted and painted. It is covered in various pigments. This is an excellent example of Tang Dynasty tomb pottery.
