Excellent pair of Tang Dynasty Tomb Pottery Camel Period: Tang Dynasty, China, AD 618-907. Size: This camel is approximately 16.5 inches in height. Condition: Good, no visible repairs, color fading, abrasions, small chips and/or minor deterioration with possible areas of expert restoration is not unusual in burial pieces of this age. Description: Pair of camels with well-proportioned twin humps and long legs. They also have long, curving neck. This pair of camel is standing on a small square base. Camels carried both passengers and goods and were the chief means of transportation along the Silk Road that linked China to the West.
