Rare Han Dynasty Pottery Horse w/ Oxford Certificate

Exceptional Han Dynasty Xian Tomb Pottery Horse with Removable Tail with Oxford Certificate

Period: Han Dynasty, 206 BC-220 AD, China.

Size: This beautiful horse measures approximately 24.5 inches in height and 22 inches in length.

Condition: Good, with some expert repair to the legs, original pigments remaining, color fading, abrasions, small chips and/or minor deterioration with possible areas of expert restoration is not unusual in burial pieces of this age.

Description: This is a wonderful example of a painted piece of Han tomb pottery. The horse is still very detailed. The horse has a removable tail. It is an excellent example of Han Dynasty tomb pottery. Samples have been taken by Oxford Authentication for this horse.
