The baluster form in a cobalt blue glaze is decorated with an oval reserve with a courting scene of a young couple in 18th century garb framed with gilt scrolling foliate “C” scrolls and stylized bouquets. The scene is signed. The porcelain body is set in a bronze base marked “France.”
