An American Woman of leisure probably painted the lovely plate. The plate consists of a strawberry vine full of foliage, berries, and blossoms. The plate is trimmed in gold and signed (not legible). The bottom is marked “J & C, Lousie, Bavaria.”

The plate is molded with a basket weave border and scalloped edges with strawberries in relief. The back is impressed with the numbers “24.”
