The rectangular mahogany body contrast with ebonized wells, edges and handle. The body is centered by a “D” shaped handle and flanked by glass inkwells that fit securely into the body. The front of the inkstand has a drawer with a replaced white porcelain pull. The inkstand sits on four squat bun feet.

A Pair of Mother of Pearl and Brass Opera Glasses, French, circa 1900
An elegant accessory at the opera house or on a table, these glasses were made by Iris. Imagine all the great performances these glasses have seen. The body is mounted with panles of opalescent mother of pearl with brass findings. Each lens has a black frame marked in raised letters “IRIS, PARIS.”

An Unusual Champlevé and Dore Mantle Clock, French, circa 1900
The oval cap is trimmed with enameled bands in a palmette motif over a conforming body with curved and beveled glass panels. The pronounced base has a repeating enameled band and the last step is trimmed with a rope twist molding. The interior is fitted with a time piece with corresponding decoration.
