A Hexagonal Satsuma Vase, Japanese, Late 19th / Early 20th Century
The vase of hexagonal form has a pronounced shoulder over a tapering body. The creamy white body is decorated in earth tone colors and gold. The two reserves depict court life with woman and children at play. The rest of the body is decorated in geometric designs. The verso has two paper labels.
