This figure carved from a solid piece of hardwood is depicting the figure of Mary. She is carved with flowing long hair, linen fold detail in the robe and wrapped in a cloak. The textile is designed with repeating off oatmeal bands with blue, red, gold and white diamonds, the alternating bands are of red and the middle red band is decorated with large stylized diamond / flower motif evenly placed. The Ikat has a cotton backing.
