The globular form is flanked by pronounced applied handles and raised on a tripod base of elephant heads and trunks. The lid completes the form and is surmounted by a trio of hens and centered by a ring handle.

A Yixing Teapot with raised Archaic Style Calligraphy, Chinese Early 20th Century
The flared square form in reddish clay is decorated on one side with raised characters and the body is flanked with an applied handle and spout with a shapely but square form. The verso is marked with an impressed stamp.
The cabinet size figure is delicately carved. The figure has a flowing robe and holds a peony in one hand and a fan in the other. She is supported on a carved wooden base.
Wonderful things can come in small packages and this small elephant is no exception. Carved in full stride and trunk pointing upward this is not only a well carved figure it is also a symbol of good luck. The ivory markings of criss crossing line are very hard to see. The ivory figure stands on a wooden base.

An Unusual "Elephant Bridge" Carved Ivory, Tiger and Panther Attack
The arched carving is made up of five figures, with an elephant under attack by lion and tigers. The figures are all connected and are raised on a conforming base. The criss crossing lines that ivory makes is hard to detict in this piece. There is a better view from the sides.
