A Footed Bowl / Candy Dish, Capo di Monte Design, early 20th Century
The round bowl with scalloped rim and embossed body depicting a series of putti figures lounging in a field with birds and flowers is raised on a pronounced round base similarly designed. The baluster form is hand painted in blue, yellow, green, black, and iron red. Each are similarly decorated with a central cartouche made up of C scrolls framing a rural farm scene. Each urn is decorated with a painted collar around the rim and base with a date 1734. The bottoms are unmarked.
Condition: Very good, very small flake on one rim, other rim with repair.
