A Crystal Parakeet, by Lalique, France, 20th Century
This charming figure is molded in the form of a parakeet. Perched on a simple plinth this bird has one out stretched wing while he cleans his feathers. The frosted body in relief casts a nice shadow, giving definition to feather and features. The original label is on the front and the base is marked “Lalique, France” in engraved script lettering.
