A Sterling Hot Water Jug, Atkin Brothers, England, 1912
A Sterling Hot Water Jug with Wooden Handle, Atkin Brothers (1853 - 1958) Sheffield, England circa 1912

This is an elegant sterling jug with hinged lid with scrolling thumb press. The lid sits above a long cylindrical neck leading to a broad shoulder and squat body. The neck is hallmarked with maker’s mark “HA” for Atkin Brothers along with city, silver and date marks. This beautifully constructed piece is appreciated for its esthetic quality along with a practical uses including a personal water pitcher or serving coffee for two.

Size: 6 ˝” high approximately 12 troy ounces (taking the wooden handle into account)

Condition: Excellent with expected wear
