The oval platter with a blue white ground is decorated in the Fitzhugh pattern of blue transfer bouquets of flowers, ribbons, foliage, and scrolls around a central rectangular medallion. The rim is decorated in a diaper pattern. The verso has a glazed under rim surface and the center of the verso is unglazed and slightly textured with scratch marks.
