Alex Marshall Studio Matte Brown Ceramic Lamp
The hand-glazed lamp in a “Matte Brown” finish is crafted from hand made molds. This lamp is one example of Ms. Marshall’s collection of lamps. There are various colors, sizes, and shapes. Mid Century Modern, Contemporary, Asian, or Traditional is a style that would work with her line of lamps and ceramic ware. The lamp measures 19 ½’ high with shade, 9” high base only, and 7 ¼” square base. Ms. Marshall studied painting and ceramics at Skidmore College and received her MFA in conceptual art from San Francisco Art Institute. Her work can be described as beautifully functional sculpture. It is an elegant mixture of art and chance. Ms. Marshall’s work has been part of stylings for television such as Martha Stewart Living in 2001, additionally her work has been used for special events in fine hotels and restaurants such as The Ritz Carlton in New York City. |
