Wedgwood Covered Dish, Blue Willow Pattern, Porcelain, England

This exquisite covered vegetable dish will grace any dining room and, is ideal for showing off at dinner parties! The lid and dish are a lobed rectangular form. The handle atop the lid is in the form of flared feathers. Wedgwood decorates the work in the classic Blue Willow pattern. This pattern is no longer in production and, it is highly collectable. The palette of the pattern is an underglazed blue and white. The motif shows willows, pagodas, foliage and, birds. The boarders are Chinoisere geometric patterns. This Blue Willow pattern was created in response to the popularity of the fine porcelains of the East. The base of the work is marked “Willow Wedgwood Etruria England.”

Size: 4 ¾” in height and, 9 ½” in width and, 8” in depth
