This darling box exudes fine detail and craftsmanship. The small vanity or pillbox is circular in form. The top of the lid shows a hand painted vignette of a young girl on a traditional Russian sled, she is in her winter costume. This charming vignette is decorated in hues of gold, red, grey, yellow and, pink. The rest of the box dons a handsome black lacquer and delicate gold pattern. The interior of the box is a bright red lacquer. The work is signed in Russian.
