A One of a Kind Hand Painted Jar, Herend, circa 1980’s

This is a wonderful piece of hand decorated porcelain. The detail of the arabesque design coupled with its size is breath taking. The octagonal paneled body is decorated in iron red, gold, cobalt blue and turquoise. The lid is conforming to the paneled body and is domed with a gilt knop. The bottom is marked with the Herend factory mark and style number 6573/sp 137. The artist’s signature is also on the base. Although a one of a kind piece Herend is always willing to replace pieces that are discontinued or special ordered. This is no exception, but it will cost you $40,000. If you are looking for something gorgeous you have found it!
