A Tin Steam Engine Accessory, German, circa 1920

This mechanical toy in the form of a working man, possibly a shoe cobbler and was made by Gerbriider Bing. The toy would be hooked up to a steam engine and is driven by pulleys and wheels. The three dimensional accessory is printed with an interior scene and a man with moving arms and head. The company logo is placed on the front “GBN over an inverted “B” over a “W”, Made in Bavaria all within a rectangle.

Size: 4 ¾” high, 3 ¾” wide, 3” deep

Condition: Fair to Good, The base is bent on the front right corner possibly lacking element on table, sides are slightly bent, need to re-attach pulley system, needs cleaning
