The large scale canvas is covered in wonderful color. The thick brushstrokes depicting a garden scene with slat fence, table, chairs, lush foliage and flowers captures his style he is so well known for. O’Sickey would say his work is not Impressionistic. O’sickey believes that each color needs to stand on its own and combined with surrounding strokes of color read as a whole. The painting is signed in the lower right corner. O’sickey paintings are held by private, public and corporate collectors, including the Cleveland, Canton and Columbus museums of art, the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, and the collections of Bristol Myers, IBM, Hahn, Loeser + Parks, PepsiCo and General Electric.
