A Hand Painted Vase Fitted as a Lamp, Cockatoo
A Hand Painted Vase Fitted as a Lamp, Cockatoo, circa 1915

The baluster shaped vase is painted with a cockatoo surrounded by tropical foliage. The bottom now covered with a replacement wooden base revealed a signature “Ingersoll” The Ingersoll’s were a founding family of Rocky River, Ohio. This lamp is from an era gone by with ladies of the day painting porcelains. Today this great lamp may grace a desk, vanity or solarium with its great shades of green, yellow, white and violet.

Size: 14” high

Condition: Excellent, re-wired and new base
