Just in from local estate this beautifully made Victorian quilt is from silk taffeta and velvet (center of each block is velvet). It's in mint condition, just the way it stayed in the storage box for years. No breaks, frays or stains commonly found in these silk quilts. Backing is also taffeta in striking large striped sections (see photo). Pattern is titled "Courtyard Steps" noted on quilt show tag basted on one corner.
