Antique yellow gold engraved necklace chain, watch chain, or possibly a muff chain. Circa 1870. Not marked but all elements including end pieces test positive for 14KT gold using jeweler's acid. Very substantial at 37 grams. With thick links alternating between smooth links and heavily engraved links. Also with a swivel clasp piece on one end, and a gold ring on the other end.
