Adorable vintage signed Whiting & Davis small clutch in goldtone mesh with chunky oversized chain mail links. Circa 1930 or 1940. Marked WHITING & DAVIS
CO MESH BAGS, MADE IN U.S.A. on the inside tag. With a yellow silk lining, and a metal button and elastic closure. The clutch style, always chic, is a key
current look. 5 inches wide by 3 3/4 inches long and 1 inch deep. Excellent condition. There is a tiny spot of verdigris on one metal link on the front and one or two tiny spots on the back but it is not noticeable at a short distance. Photos enlarged to show detail. |
