| Chunky vintage carved Bakelite bangle which is black under normal light but when viewed in front of a strong light shows green just at the edges and takes on a slightly brown tone on the outside. This is known as a "changer" piece, since it was originally green and has darkened over time. Circa 1940. Tests positive for Bakelite and guaranteed old and original. Circa 1940. Very dimensional and deeply carved. 1 1/8 inches wide, 1/2 inch thick, and 2 1/2 inches inside diameter. Excellent condition. There are one or two tiny flea bites on the inside edges but these are not visible when the bracelet is worn. White areas are reflection. Photos enlarged to show detail. | |||||||||||
