| Beautiful antique brooch or watch pin made in an overlay technique, with engraved gold over an oval shaped smoky quartz stone. Aesthetic period, circa 1900. Possibly Japanese, depicting cranes and foliate motifs. I am listing a very similar larger piece. Marked 14K. With an early pin catch. There is a wide loop at the bottom of the frame which possibly is for a watch or other hanging piece. It weighs 10 grams. 1 3/8 inches wide and 1 inch long. Excellent condition.
