Large 1960s Rosenthal Studio Line Onion Vase-Freyer
Offered is a rare massive matte Black porcelain Vase in the Onion pattern. Created by Martin Freyer for Rosenthal, Germany in the 60s, this exceptional piece measures 16.5 inches tall and is the largest in the Onion Series It is in excellent condition and marked Rosenthal Studio Line Porcelain Noire Martin Freyer. Martin Freyer (1909-1974). Freyer, a painter and graphic artist, worked for Rosenthal from 1964 to 1974, designing various vases, bowls, candle holders and glass objects. His most important and most famous design is the VW emblem for Volkswagen
