| Offered is a stunning green and mottled blue porcelain vase with crystalline glaze by Hein Severijns. The vase is 11 ¾ inches tall by 5 inches wide and in excellent condition with no damage or restoration. The piece is signed but not dated. Hein Severijns is most famous for his delicate porcelain forms with self developed (crystalline) glazes. Severijns was born 1936 in Maastricht and has been a ceramic artist since 1967. He was trained as a chemist, Ceramic Engineer and Industrial Designer at Maastricht (Academy for Applied Arts - Netherlands) and in Höhr-Grenzhausen (Denmark). After more than 50 years, Severijns’ purpose remains to make a perfect pot although he acknowledges that it is an unattainable dream. | ||
