| This is a signed Pauly lamp attributed to Napoleone Martinuzzi as the designer and Alfredo Barbini as the blower. Martinuzzi and Barbini rejoined work together for Pauly & Co. and this appears to be one of their creations. According to Prestel's Italian Glass Murano-Milan 1930-1970, "Ca. 1960-1975 (Martinuzzi) Designs for the publisher Pauly & C. in Venice; they are carried out by his former master glassblower, Alfredo Barbini, in the latter's factory." Signed "Pauly" on the inner base rim. This piece is made from white pulegoso glass and an applied green rim with green and yellow glass at the base. It is in very good condition with no damage. It measures 9 inches tall and 5 inches wide. I retains its older cloth covered wires. A very unique piece of vintage Murano glass. | ||
