Victorian Pairpoint art glass biscuit barrel/jar with a heavy Meriden Britiannia Silverplate lid. The glass is opaque white, hand painted light blue with enamel floral decorations on all sides with a multi-colored butterfly on one side. Measurements: 10 inches tall to the top of the finial, 6¾ inches wide and very heavy at 5 pounds Condition: Excellent, there is no damage to the outside of the barrel or glass; however, there is slight rust on the bottom of the metal base. Both the lid and bail are in excellent condition. Marking: Silver is marked MB & Co Wonderful high quality Pairpoint art glass in beautiful colors. Definitely a strong and durable biscuit barrel meant to last another 100 years. |
