Here's a beauty, a Victorian opaque white ribbed syrup pitcher with a pewter lid which was marked and patented in April 26 81 (1881), March 28, 82 (1882), glass piece made in 1893 by US Glass in the Adams #52 pattern (also known by US Glass as pattern #329) aka Ribs over Ribs. Syrup pitcher is hand painted with pink and rust orange florals, green leaves and this particular pitcher is in extraordinary condition, well taken care ... barely any loss to gold applied ring located at the mid-section of the jar and no painting loss ... truly a great piece of milk glass. Applied handle. 5" tall (18 cm) w/o lid, 7" with lid, 4.5" (11.5 cm) across including applied handle. No damage to glass or decoration. Great patina on lid which is also in beautiful condition with thumb spring intact and still tight. |
