Beautiful rare footed covered oval bowl with handles, in semi-porcelain scalloped relief made by Samuel Ford & Co, Burslem, England (1898-1939). This covered bowl is in excellent undamaged condition although there is some very fine crazing on very close inspection. Green floral transferware with applied gold throughout including trim, against ivory white porcelain. Measurements: 10.75" (27.5 cm) long with handles, 8" (20 cm) without handles, 6.5" (16.5 cm) wide, 2.75" (7 cm) high without lid, 5.25" (13.5 cm) with lid. Gorgeous, barely used if at all. |
