A fine Sinhalese bronze figure of Buddha. He 's standing on the circular base. His right hand incised with four scrolls and raised in vitarka mudra, his left hand pendent by his side, wearing a long sanghati with wavering pleats. His head has a large foliate finial. He is 11.25" high. Bottom base is 4" dia. Bottom shows lead filled in thus it weights 9lbs. See identical figure on Sotheby's sale in London, June 5th, 1989, lot number 82. 2 Chinese horn carvings consists of 1 pendant and 1 snuff bottle. The snuff bottle has 2 chilongs climbing in high relief. It's 3" tall and 2" wide. No spoon. The pendant has low relief of flower and bats. It's 2.5" high and 1 3/4" wide. Metal top not silver. The snuff bottle made out of very old horn while the pendant comes from newer horn.
