A beautiful Burmese Buddhist wood sculpture from the late 19th C. Figure is decorated with gold gilt and red lacquer. Large and life size. No damage noted. Rosewood stand is not included.
This beautiful seated monk was made with the Burmese dry lacquer technique, used from the mid-18th Century until the beginning of the 20th Century.
