Master silversmith Elken Senter handcrafted this most beautiful sterling silver bracelet with fantastic high-grade natural turquoise from the Royston Mine in Nevada. His great- grand mother was a Chickasaw Indian. He hallmarked the bracelet on the back with “ES” and sterling. The design is called basket weave, and all the stones are hand cut by Elken Senter. Elken Senter is 75 years old and he spent most of his life in the Southwest.

Wow. This is a most unusual look, almost reminiscent of the style of the pieces done by the innovative Mexican artist Matl and certainly unique for Navajo work. This "watch bracelet" was made by J.M.Begay. The only info I have is that he is from the Lukachukai, Arizona region and began using his hallmark in 1976.

He is one of the few Anglo artisans to study at the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA). He studied under Famous silversmith Danny Romero, Duane Maktima and Otellie Pasaveva Loloma.
