Collected these beautiful Turquoise Cabochons, from different turquoise mines, of various sizes and thickness for the last 30 years from my lapidary friend. All the cabochons are hand cut from rough material. 87 cabochons are backed with a very thin brass plate, 5 are backed with black resin and one has no backing. See image # 6 with a quarter coin for size comparison. We have a total of 90 grams or 3.15 oz.

This medal was given for the "winner of the target shooting in 1938". A small village shooting club, many of which were spread throughout Germany, would have issued it. These were "men's clubs" that had annual shooting contests with winners eventually working their way up to national competitions.
